Getting Ready for Fall The Preschool Committee has been working hard
recently on developing new advertising material that will be displayed in
various locations throughout the city. Also,
check out our awesome and brand new website at www.suwaneepreschool.com.
There are still openings available in all classes and our goal is to have
each class filled before the school year begins.
You can assist us toward this goal by taking some brochures, available in
the Church office, and refer your family, friends, or new neighborhood
acquaintances to our wonderful school. Preschool

Watch for more details to come as the time grows near. Suwanee Men A reminder that this year’s Annual Men’s Spiritual Retreat at Rock Eagle will be especially rewarding, since it is the 50th retreat and features Dr. Timothy Tennent, President of Asbury Theological Seminary as the guest speaker at four different worship services over the weekend. The event is scheduled for the last weekend in September. The cost is $165, which includes lodging and 5 meals, Friday evening through Sunday morning. The North Georgia Conference UMM has a limited number of scholarships for this event which have been donated by different men throughout the Conference who know the impact a Rock Eagle weekend can have on a man’ life. For more information, see Bud Sears, or email him at bud.sears@ewca.com. PS. Ladies: There is no better gift for your husband, brother, or son than to send him to Rock Eagle. You’ll forever be glad you did. Join the Greeter Team
One of the most important aspects of becoming a part of a church is how
you feel your first time. To help
continue the welcoming spirit of hospitality that is present at Suwanee, we want
to form a team of people to greet at the door and a team to help greet and
direct in the parking lot. Children’s Ministry Need You
Jesus made children a clear and vital part of His ministry. We at Suwanee want to make sure our children’s ministry
continues to serve the needs of our kids. Since
our children now have their own time of worship, we invite you to be a part of
this great ministry. We NEED
teachers to help them learn about God’s love and plan for their lives.
We have a pre-made curriculum that is teacher-friendly and
kid-appreciated. If you are
interested in helping out, please email Rebekah Walters at rebekah_walters@bellsouth.net. What is it like to be in a small group? Why would
anyone want to join one? Why do
churches have small groups anyway? Think “change” when you think about a small
group…life change. Small groups
are a place where truth and life come together.
They are not just about learning but about living. Truths from the Bible
are discussed and applied in a real and relevant manner.
Life’s toughest questions are addressed. Friendships are forged, and hearts are strengthened.
Small groups are becoming essential parts of churches
everywhere. They are the place
where sustained life change most effectively takes place. They are a place to grow in your relationship with God, and
in your relationship with others. They are the environments with the greatest
potential to help people be everything that God wants them to be. If you are not currently in a small group (and yes, Sunday
School classes do count as a small group), consider getting into one.
If you are already, consider allowing the group to continue after the
current Lenten study is completed. Take
the risk of getting connected and see what God can do in your life!
